While not as common as other materials, brass is especially suited for fittings that will be used in corrosive environments, such as chemicals, water, slurries, and the external atmosphere.
Brass has exceptional malleability compared to steel, while still retaining its durability, making it an excellent material to machine into a variety of shapes. Their durability, combined with their resistance to corrosion, make brass fittings ideal for applications where supply lines will carry chemicals and gasses.
