What are hydromat machines?
Hydromats are a type of rotary transfer machine using both hydraulically and CNC-driven motors to power sequential machining operations. Bar stock is loaded into this modular system, which then performs all needed operations one after the other, without the need for unloading and reloading the stock in between operations.
These machines are incredibly versatile and efficient, and thanks to their computer numerically-controlled systems, they are also highly accurate as well. The components that are produced by hydromats are often entirely finished products, eliminating the need for secondary operations and increasing overall production efficiency while reducing production costs.
Hydromats at Global Precision Parts
At Global Precision, we use hydromats to accommodate large-scale orders with higher quantities. Our hydromat machines allow us to manufacture large quantities of complex parts in a variety of metals, such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and brass. Hydromat machining streamlines the entire production process because they’re able to sequentially perform multiple operations, including cut-off, burnishing, tapping, drilling, milling, and turning. We often utilize our hydromats for high-volume, long-run production of complex parts.
